Resilience At the Border

Polymer Plate Etching, 8 x 6 inches, Arches Paper

Resilience is about never quitting until you get what you want. In this world persistence is key. I am banging my head against the wall as I continue to achieve and inch closer to my goals and I can taste it. As a woman and an artist constant reminder of being left out or having to try harder are no longer limitations but open doors to new horizons, new words and imagery. Here, AT the Border, is a limited series of etchings about the children in detention centers on the border of the U.S. and Mexico.

Process: Originally Letterpress and then photographed, the image is exposed to a polymer plate and printed up as an etching.
